In honor of International Children's Book Day, which is celebrated on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday each year, I teamed up with several other authors to write fairy tale retellings. For my writing project, I chose Andersen's "The Galoshes of Fortune." You've probably never heard of it; I hadn't either. But I had fun reading it and writing a retelling for all you fine folks.
